Our district community believes in a strong commitment to education and that dedication is very evident in the programs and opportunities available to our children. Cottonwood School District has a reputation for excellence in academics, the fine arts, and extracurricular programs. Our students are educated to become successful, productive citizens who are critical thinkers and who exhibit strong moral character. We stand firm in our values of respect, dignity, honesty, responsibility and teamwork.<\/p>\n
We strongly believe that children learn best when educators develop meaningful partnerships with parents, encouraging and valuing input and feedback from home. We also promote connections with the wider community through partnerships with the city and local businesses. Our most recent Prairie Elementary awards include 4-Star School and Distinguished Elementary, and our Jr\/Sr High School received a 5-Star rating for 2013-2014 school year. Our community supports our Cottonwood School District as they pass a levy every year with 58-62% approval.<\/p>\n
Overview of the District<\/strong><\/p>\nOur district data for the past three years is organized and compiled into a strategic plan document. A committee was formed to organize the data and plan for the next three years. Goals and targets are listed and open for review. An overview of the district can be found in the Strategic Plan document located on the District Home Page to the right in the link section.<\/p>\n
